Take a moment to imagine what allowing God to remove your stony heart could mean in your life right now.

It takes courage (and lots of deliberate work!) to let the consequences of abuse fall from our fingers as we rebuild ourselves with what is true.

Learning we do not matter is profoundly detrimental to our growth as human beings.

How has the way you were perceived as a child colored the way you see God and, more importantly, how you think God sees you?

God takes the cost of abuse and turns it into treasure.

Are our actions — including the lack of action! — pleasing to God during this election time, or not, and what can we commit ourselves to change?

I need the cross. I look up to see Jesus there upon it. While we suffer, God still suffers. Every parent understands this.

We can work to make God’s voice louder than the dark words.

Somehow and some way, right now, despite the darkness, despite the ignorance, despite the suffering, God’s victory is leaking in.

We dare to think God will be overcome by problems of our manufacture?

Becoming stilled is a process. And You, not our trauma, are God.

What we do to counter God’s will, what others do to mess things up, what Satan does to disorder things, NONE of that amounts to anything when it comes up against GOD.
